Hello y ¡Saludos! I'm excited to introduce myself as the new research and policy analyst at CLLARO. Originally from Houston, I moved to Colorado almost 17 years ago to get my Bachelor's Degree at Colorado State University (CSU). My foundation in Ethnic Studies, Spanish, and Women's Studies is very important to me and integral to who I am as a person and professional. I'm passionate about working toward equity and justice through systems change and particularly interested in harm reduction, reproductive rights, housing and homelessness, mental health, and really any issues impacted by stigma.
I earned my Master of Social Work from CSU in 2020 and have since enjoyed conducting research and evaluation in partnership with various communities around innovative practices like guaranteed basic income. I am excited to bring this experience to CLLARO and continue growing my research, policy analysis, and advocacy skills. I am a moderately fluent Spanish speaker who is Latinx and White and it's important to me to have awareness of and be responsive to power, privilege, and oppression.
Like most human beings, I love food, music, and movies, but also my dog, Greg, Halloween, and comedy. I love finding humor amidst life's challenges and hearing others' stories. If you're
interested in connecting, I'd love to hear your story and about your connection to CLLARO and this work.
