More about the organization:

Literacy Outreach’s mission is to teach essential literacy skills to adults. We define literacy as basic reading, writing, math, and English as a Second Language. We provide free, one-on-one instruction to adults with reading skills below the 4th-grade level. In addition to individualized instruction, supplemental learning opportunities are available to students as well, such as: citizenship exam preparation, Hands-On English classes, pronunciation practice, financial literacy workshops, book clubs, and practical computer classes. Through participation in our programs, adults become more capable, committed, and able to improve their lives. It’s common for us to see tangible differences in the quality of life for our students and families.
