More about the organization:

The Denver Office of Immigrant & Refugee Affairs promotes greater awareness and integration of immigrant and refugee residents in Denver. We partner with nonprofits, community-based organizations, residents, and government agencies to develop and implement policies, practices, and programs that influence the various paths of immigrant integration. Key programs:DORIA partners with Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition on the America Is Home grant to host Citizenship Workshops to help Legal Permanent Residents (LPR’s) complete their application for Citizenship. We also partner with Lutheran Family Services of the Rocky Mountains to distribute filing fee scholarships to assist Denver residents applying for citizenship through the America is Home Program to meet the cost of filing for citizenship. My City Academy, a program created to empower immigrant and refugee residents to participate and connect with the City & County of Denver. My City Academy connects participants with individuals in city agencies and offices, teaches them about the resources and benefits available and how to access those services. DOIRA Immigrant Integration Program Sponsorships are mini-grants that provide funding for Denver organizations/residents to create small, community-driven projects designed to build unity between immigrant and receiving communities, create stronger and more connected neighborhoods, address community needs, and foster community connectedness.
