Colorado Gerontological Society
The Colorado Gerontological Society is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization organized in 1980 to provide advocacy information and assistance to Colorado seniors as well as education and networking for aging professionals. The Society’s major focus areas are: 1. Information, education, counseling and referral to older adults and their families 2. Information, education, technical assistance, and support for professionals who work in the field of aging. 3. Advancement of public policy and advocacy that improves the quality of life for older adults The Society strives to: 1. To build leadership in aging for future generations 2. To promote high standards of professionalism in the field of aging 3. To expand the networks and partnerships in aging across the public, private and nonprofit sector 4. To deliver person centered, high quality services to older adults and their families 5. To embrace a “people first” organizational culture in which the board, staff, their families, and volunteers are engaged in the organization and their community 6. To embody the public trust through integrity, openness, accountability, service and charity

The Society is committed to providing information and resources to individuals and their families searching for assistance with housing and care options. We have taken the Housing and Home Care sections of our Colorado Senior Resource Guidebook and created a dynamic online took for older adults, families, friends, caregivers and professionals in the aging field. The online Guidebook can be found at https://www.senioranswers.org/guide/. We will continue to print the hard-copy version.
